Our Expertise
Our team is led by our director, Lyndsey Batty, an Advanced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with extensive experience in trauma-informed care, restrictive practices, dementia support, alongside practices in psychosocial recovery, and acceptance and commitment therapy. As a registered NDIS provider under the Quality and Safeguards Commission, our head practitioner has over 17 years of experience in the not-for-profit disability and mental health sectors. This includes her previous roles in support work, lead support, case management, team leader in behaviour support, and as a managing director of a WA based NDIS organsiation, overseeing the specialised behaviour support department. Lyndsey has worked within multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with NDIS providers, government agencies, and educational institutions. Lyndsey has a BSc in Psychology and a Master's degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, and is skilled in case management, clinical supervision, and overseeing early practicing clinicians, report writing, developing individualised plans, and overseeing the company's commitment to providing effective support services.
Our allied therapy team is led by our director of allied therapy and senior physiotherapist, Amy Papalia. With over 15 years of experience, Amy specialises in complex seating, she graduated from Curtin University and the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Exercise and Health Science, and a Graduate Diploma in Education. Amy's vast experience spans post-surgery rehabilitation, assistive technology assessment and prescription, and specialised pain and dementia support, Amy also holds a Diploma in Dementia care.
Our Services
West Coast PBS and Allied Therapy operate under the NDIS registration groups 0128 and 0110 and offer bespoke services in Perth to Mandurah, and the South West. Our registered early practicing, core, proficient and advanced behaviour support practitioners conduct initial assessments, identify and report on restrictive practices, attend quality assurance panels upon request, and create safety response and interim behavior support plans, functional behaviour assessments and comprehensive behaviour support plans, among a wide range of other services tailored to participant needs. Our allied therapy team focuses on improving mobility and facilitating participation within the home and community, with services available in the Perth Metro area, Busselton, and Dunsborough.

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is a person-centered approach that emphasises enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) framework. It focuses on understanding the reasons behind challenging behaviours and implementing proactive strategies to promote positive behaviour and skill development. PBS involves collaboration among individuals, families, and stakeholders to create tailored interventions that foster independence and social inclusion. Ultimately, the goal of PBS is to empower individuals, ensuring they lead fulfilling lives while reducing the occurrence of challenging behaviour, increase autonomy, choice and control, and reduce or eliminate the use of restrictive practices.
Physiotherapy focuses on improving mobility and overall function, assisting with mobility that aims to maximise independence and function. Physiotherapists aim to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by developing personalised treatment plans, and ensuring compliance within the context of WHS. Looking at various seating options, equipment and assistive technology to meet individuals' specific needs and goals. Our physiotherapy team have >15 years of experience in complex seating assessment, wheelchair prescriptions and working with severe physical disabilities - severe limits of physical functioning, mobility, and dexterity.
Ultimately, physiotherapy within the NDIS framework supports individuals in achieving their maximum potential and participating fully within their communities.
Occupational therapy (OT) is a client-centered, assisting individuals to develop, recover, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. In the context of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), OT focuses on enhancing individuals' independence and quality of life by addressing functional challenges related to their disabilities. Therapists collaborate with participants and supports to create personalised intervention plans that may include skill development, environmental modifications, and the use of assistive technologies. Ultimately, occupational therapy aims to empower individuals and build independence.
